Relay for Life Sweepstakes

Sceptre is launching a Relay for Life Sweepstakes in support of The American Cancer Society.

Relay for Life is the world’s largest fundraising event to end cancer, uniting communities across the globe to fight back against this disease. One of every four deaths in the US is from cancer. The American Cancer Society puts money towards research to find causes and a cure. The money fundraised also helps support cancer patients, survivors, and their families.

Last year we were able to collectively raise over $100,000 to donate to The American Cancer Society. We would love to achieve the same success to help hundreds of families.

To support the cause, Sceptre will be having a #SceptreRelays Sweepstakes on Facebook. Enter for your chance to win a Purple 32” LED HDTV!

Now Available in Full HD- Sceptre’s 24″ TV Series

S ceptre releases two new 24” HDTVs- E246BV-FMQC and E246BD-FMQC. 720P resolution is normally a mainstay on HD TVs. As far as most manufacturers were concerned, most 20 to 30 inch models were used as secondary TVs, and 720P appeared to get the job done. When you turn on these TVs, you find it hard to disagree with them. The mere fact that they have HD at all provides visuals that out perform any analog picture any day. TV and Monitor: I Am So Happy to be Stuck with You

W ith the inclusion of HDMI, HDTVs and monitors have become interchangeable with one another. That is your HDTV can function as a monitor, and your monitor can be used as an HDTV, which is more precisely described as a dual display. This allows each display to connect to PCs, cable/satellite receivers, gaming systems, streaming sticks to name just a few. One of the primary differences between the two of them is the number of HDMI ports that each possess. HDTVs normally have somewhere between 2 to 5 HDMI ports while monitors usually have between 1 and 3. So again, to make sure enough emphasis has been placed on this point, HDMI is a key feature of the dual display. Continue reading “TV and Monitor: I Am So Happy to be Stuck with You”

HDMI 2.0

Why is everyone raving about HDMI 2.0? For one thing, it provides double the bandwidth of HDMI 1.4 in order to handle the best resolution currently on the market – 4k.   Even though HDMI 1.4 can play 4k content, it usually cannot be used for gaming or television broadcasts. 1.4 also fails to deliver the 10 to 12-bit color that 2.0 can easily muster.  As long as the TV or device also has HDCP 2.2, which prevents illegal copying of 4k content – HDMI 2.0 will stream and/or play all the 4k content you can find.  Better still, 2.0 is backwards compatible, so you don’t have to worry about digging into your pockets for the funds to purchase a new cable.  Your current HDMI 1.4 cable will do the trick.  A symbol of progress, HDMI 2.0 is capable of connecting to all the newest generation devices – from cable/satellite receivers to game consoles to streaming sticks to Blu-Ray players, and all those devices that will be hitting stores in the projected future.

Sceptre 4k TVs are all equipped with HDMI 2.0. Check out the popular 49″ model Here.
